To Teller

As coach of the Little Dribblers we play quite a few games against Teller because we can get there without flying...saving big $$$.  We take snow machines and load the sleds up with kids.  It takes about 20 minutes traverse the 7 miles of ice.  The tides still affect the ice and it breaks up along the shore causing an interesting on ramp to the Forest Highway (called that because they put up willows so you can tell where you are going)  The picture of the cargo plane is what the bulk of the supplies come in on.  It comes three times a week, weather cooperating.

As a side note:  Took Mooney out yesterday for a walk and it was 10 deg ABOVE '0'.  I described it as being 'beautiful out'....it's all about perspective.

Zach's Gym

A dream of mine has been to work out on the beach in an outdoor gym.  In SD unfortunately there were none around.  BUT, I did get to one that was outdoors.  I now have the only gym for thousands of miles (excluding Nome).

Anchorage and My Dog

The weather can change really quick up here.  The top two are evidence of that.  Mooney also doubled in size over those two weeks.

San Diego, Ca

Spent about a week getting acquainted with San Diego.  Oh, and the seals in the third picture down (yeah the ones that it is a federal crime to hunt), I've eaten those up here.

Train Trip

Maxi and I took the train from Seattle, Wa to San Diego, Ca.  It took about 42hrs.  The only bad part was that we couldn't see Northern California because it was dark.

Our Christmas program before break.
