To Nome...

Mooney and I decided to bike the 80 miles to Nome.  Unfortunately my camera broke before the bear incident, sleet storm, gold dredge, incredible views, and sleeping next to a road grader.  Here's what I got though.  

Working Weekend

I went to Unalakleet, Ak for a working weekend at the end of April.  Most of the snow was gone, just the piles left to melt.  Yesterday, May 7, 2010, I could see/hear Sand Hill Cranes flying over from my classroom window.  Bird hunting is not far away.

Walking

Here are some pictures of Mooney and I walking around.  Some were taken hiking up the hills South of Brevig others while walking on the road to the dump.  The temperature has been consistently in the 30degF range the last couple of weeks and pleasantly not windy.
